About Galeton Borough Council

 The Galeton Borough Council is responsible for overseeing the general operation and governance of the town. Council members help guide the future of Galeton by setting annual budgets, adopting and enforcing local ordinances, and ensuring that all areas of the borough—such as roads, parks, public safety, and utilities—are properly maintained and managed. They work closely with the borough crew to identify needs, prioritize repairs, and coordinate improvements. The Council also actively seeks funding opportunities, such as grants and state programs, to support community projects and infrastructure upgrades. Their leadership is essential to keeping Galeton running smoothly and growing responsibly.

The Galeton Borough Council meetings monthly on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm at the Galeton Borough Office. 

This meeting is open to the public.

Note: A public comment time is available at every meeting. Each speaker has 5-minutes to address the Borough Council.
