About Galeton Borough Authority

The Galeton Borough Authority plays a vital role in maintaining the health and well-being of our community by overseeing all water and sewer services. They are responsible for ensuring residents have access to clean, safe drinking water and that wastewater is properly treated and managed. A well-functioning wastewater treatment facility is essential to protecting our environment and preventing pollution in local streams and rivers, while a clean and reliable water source is critical for public health and daily living.

The Authority works closely with our dedicated borough crew members, water treatment operators, and sewer treatment operators to carry out maintenance, upgrades, and long-term infrastructure projects. This teamwork ensures that all systems run efficiently and meet state and federal standards. Through careful planning and hands-on collaboration, the Galeton Borough Authority helps secure a safe, sustainable future for our town.

The Galeton Borough Authority meets monthly on the first Tuesday of the month at 5:00pm at the Galeton Borough Office. 

This meeting is open to the public.

Note: A public comment time is available at every meeting. Each speaker has 5-minutes to address the Borough Authority.
